Made for Fun
Marin Bikes are Made For Fun. Since the first mountain bikes bearing the Marin Bikes name debuted in 1986, the brand has been dedicated to enriching the lives of our riders by making fun, high caliber bicycles, which provide years of riding enjoyment. We operate a business based on hard work, fueled by passion, and fulfilled by the satisfaction of bringing the joy of cycling to riders across the world.
Dual Suspension
For most riders, a full suspension bike is the best way to get the most out of the trail. Marin Bikes has long been a leader in full suspension, starting with the F.R.S. line in 1993 and moving through to the MultiTrac bikes of today.
We build every bike for maximum trail enjoyment with advanced suspension kinematics, 1x drivetrains, internal dropper post routing, and modern long, low, and slack trail geometry for maximum control and agility at speed.

E-Mountain
Marin’s electric assist mountain bikes are for riders who need a boost, either to cover more distance in a shorter amount of time or to go farther or higher than they might be able to accomplish on their own. Designed from the ground up around durable Shimano motor and battery units, the 2021 Marin electric mountain bike lineup is our most capable to date.
Dropbar
The Headlands, Gestalt and Nicasio series take you Beyond Road. These endurance models are equally capable on smooth asphalt or up a gravel road with a secret view. These bikes feature clearance for large volume tires, with wide-range drivetrains, fender eyelets, and disc brakes to make any terrain and weather manageable.
Lombard
It’s the years slugging it out in the city that have made the Lombard such a capable beast in the dirt. The same large 700x40mm tires that eat up the potholes also smooth out the washboard, and the same butted aluminum frame that’s just as ready to sprint to the next stoplight as it is to crest a peak on the distant fireroad.

The Four Corners was designed to be the last bike you’ll ever need, no matter what the future holds. With a CrMo frame, clearance to run up to 2.0” mountain bike tires, and mounts for fenders, racks and up to six bottles, you can load this bike with all of the gear for an overnight trip or a cross-country adventure

Suspension Technology
The main premise behind the kinematics used on MultiTrac models is simple: get the best suspension performance through a balance of small bump compliance and pedal efficiency, while also maintaining good midstroke support and superb bottom-out control.

BALANCE OF SMALL BUMP AND PEDAL EFFICIENCY
MID-STROKE SUPPORT
BOTTOM OUT CONTROL
WHY
This gives riders a plush feel without sacrificing power transfer to the ground through unwanted suspension movement.
WHY
It allows the bike to maintain proper geometry while riding through rough terrain and prevents blowing through travel when pushing corners. This is how suspension is intended to feel.
WHY
So you don’t blow through the bike’s travel on hard hits. This is critical to maintain control and inspire confidence when it is most needed.
WHAT
The beginning movement of the suspension smooths out small chatter bumps, allowing the bike to carry more speed through changing trail situations, as well as providing enhanced comfort and control for the rider, without sacrificing power transfer or traction.
WHAT
The bike maintains consistent and controlled geometry and rear wheel traction through rough trails, allowing a predictable ride through varying terrain.
WHAT
“Ramping up” at the end of the suspension travel to mitigate hard bottom outs, as well as provide a more controlled ride feeling as you get to the end of the travel, especially on hard hits and landings.
TECH
Multitrac model utilize low starting leverage curves as well as antisquat values that are within 90-110% throughout the entire gear range./p>
TECH
The linear mid-section of the leverage curves plays perfectly with current shock technology to ensure good support, and anti-rise numbers that ensure that proper bike geometry is maintained on steep sections of trail.
TECH
A “regressive hook” is utilized in the end of the travel, mechanically building force that slows the wheel and resists harsh bottom out, while also keeping stresses on the rear shock to a minimum on larger impacts.
